Block diagram of the VISP signal chain: a wearable sensor feeds a microcontroller, which sends data to a phone app that alerts the athlete or coach.

The problem

Stress fractures build up from repeated load and are often noticed only once they hurt, which can mean weeks away from training. An early signal, before the injury, would let athletes and coaches adjust training in time. [TODO: what VISP measures and why]

What I did

VISP is a startup project building a wearable system that aims to flag early signs of stress fractures in athletes. The system chain runs from a body-worn sensor through a microcontroller to a phone app that the athlete or coach sees. [TODO: your role, period and specific contributions]
